Description

Fiddes Premier SP Floor Polyurethane is a water based, 1 component self cross linking Polyurethane/Acrylic floor finish, for the surface treatment of wood floors in residential/domestic areas.

Fiddes Premier SP Floor Polyurethane has a high resistance to abrasion and wear, and also offers good resistance to liquids in areas of light to medium traffic.

Preparation

Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from any previous finish. Fill any cracks/knots with Fiddes Floor Filler Gel where required. Sand the substrate with a fine 120/150 grade sanding paper or 120/150 grit sanding disk, removing all traces of dust.

Application

Ensure all areas to be coated are extremely well ventilated during and after application. Always test on a small area prior to initial application. Maximum 2 coats recommended with SP Sealer. Apply at room temperature. Fiddes SP Floor Lacquer is formulated for application directly, and does not require thinning.

First Coat

Stir contents thoroughly before and during use, and apply in a warm, well ventilated room. Apply THINLY using Fiddes Floor Oil Brush or a good quality bristle or synthetic brush, and lay EVENLY, following the direction of the grain. Leave to dry 2-3 hours in warm, dry well ventilated conditions.

Second Coat

Apply as first coat, THINLY, allowing good ventilation. Leave to dry 2-3 hours in warm, dry well ventilated conditions. Clean applicator with water

Coats

Three coats or 2 coats with initial coat of Premier SP Sealer

Cleaning & Maintenance

For regular light cleaning, a damp cloth should be applied and resulting clean area
left to dry. Periodically, an application of Fiddes Floor Surface Cleaner is recommended.

8-10 sqm per litre at 120-100g/m2 per coat

Notes

Always test intercoat adhesion on a small area prior to major application.
Longer drying periods may occur during application in cold, damp or humid conditions.
Full cure/hardness will be reached in 7 days.
Store in frost free area.
